HARRISBURG - Rep. Jeff Pyle (R-Armstrong/Indiana) Wednesday voted to send a measure, House Bill 169, to Gov. Tom Corbett’s desk that would improve the ability for veterans groups and fire companies to effectively use small games of chance to raise the money needed to help run their organizations.

Rep. Jeff Pyle (R-Armstrong/Indiana) said today that his district offices located at 289 Route 85 Highway in Home, Rayne Township, and 409 Ford St. in Ford City will be closed Friday, July 15, and will reopen on Monday, July 18.

I’m conservative but that’s not really a secret. For six + years, I debated and worked against former Governor Ed Rendell’s tax, borrow and spend philosophy on a daily basis. I promised the people of the 60th Legislative District I would resist any and all tax increases. I’ve done it. The 3 building projects being proposed by the Armstrong School District Board of Directors endanger our taxpayers.

Rep. Jeff Pyle (R-Armstrong/Indiana) today announced that beginning in January, the United States Department of Agriculture’s National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) will be working in cooperation with the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture to contact farmers throughout Pennsylvania to conduct the Agricultural Resource Management Survey (ARMS). This survey will allow farmers the opportunity to provide accurate, real-time data that will help shape the policies, programs and issues that affect the agriculture industry.

In observance of the Christmas and New Year’s holidays, Rep. Jeff Pyle
(R-Armstrong/Indiana) today announced that his Ford City and Apollo offices in Armstrong County, and his Rayne Township office in Indiana County will be closed on Friday, Dec. 24; Monday, Dec. 27; and Friday, Dec. 31. His offices will resume regular hours on Monday, Jan. 3, 2011.
