HARRISBURG – Reps. Citing the majority party’s reluctance to do what is right for Pennsylvania citizens, Rep. Jeff Pyle (R-Armstrong/Indiana) today voted to reject the House Democrats unbalanced 2009-10 state budget proposal. The spending plan totals $29.1 billion, which spends $300 million more than the governor’s proposal. In addition, this plan provides zero funding for higher education, setting the stage for a major tax increase on the people of Pennsylvania and skyrocketing college tuition costs.
